Remember my post about the "End of an Era" that I spoke of a holiday concert of Jim Brickman that I attended? Well, Mr. Brickman's music holds quite a bit of significance...in fact, my husband and I choose "Valentine" for our wedding ceremony to play during the ceremony. So...every time I hear the song, whether I be in a store aisle (yes, it has happened), in my car, on our CD, etc...it takes me back to that very special day. I just love the lyrics to the song, they convey such a special message...just what we wanted. Plus, we first started dating around Valentine's...so even more special meaning between the two of us. ANYWAY...we've since attended two Jim Brickman concerts, and each time he has performed "Valentine"...each time transports me back to my wedding day, and reminds me of the special day it was and the vows I pledged to my husband on that day. One of the songs that (although I don't hear often) I could never hear enough, due to the significance it means to me. I'm sharing a link to it, with the song and lyrics...for your enjoyment. If you've never heard it, check it....you may even love it as much as I do!!!

Now, you may wonder..."why post this now"? I actually have two reasons to share this with you today. My husband and I are about to share our 5th year anniversary, so I guess you can say I'm starting to reminisce on that wonderful day. Second, last night on Pinterest I found the neatest thing that I believe I will definitely be working on after the holidays. And, after sharing with you the importance of the lyrics of "My Valentine" to you, you will understand why I want to create the project with them. Here is the project that I "pinned", then I will explain what I want to do:
So, my plan is to take the lyrics to my cherished song...print on cardstock with my Silhouette CAMEO...Mod Podge onto some canvases and place above our bed in our bedroom. Of course, it often sounds super easy...I'll let you know how easy the task is. I'm excited about this project...what do you think? When I saw it, I fell in LOVE!!!
What do you think about the power of song? What are some of your songs that have significance in your life, and why? Do you think this is a neat way to remember a song that is of great significance? Let me know what you think?
What are you thinking of the blog...I'd love to know? Thanks for all the positive feedback so far!
