"I Won't Give Up"

I've already posted before about the power of song...there are some songs that just "talk" to you. Music is said to be an universal language. While I've been sitting here catching up on some items, one of my favorite artists came on with his newest song...and, every time I've heard it...it simply takes my breath away. Do you have songs like that? I have several...Here it is if you want to check it out....

Jason Mraz is one of my all time faves!!! He has a way of speaking truths (plus he can SANG :)....Anyway, as I was sitting rewinding and listening NUMEROUS times (as I sometimes do with some of my favorite songs)...it dawned on me why this speaks to me because...I WON'T GIVE UP!!!! Now, this song is talking about not giving up on a relationship, but it can 100 percent apply to my daily struggle with chronic illness.  Some of the lyrics:

"Even if the skies get rough...I'm still looking up." "Cause even the stars they burn, some even fall to the earth." "I don't want to be someone who walks away so easily.  I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make."  "...had to learn how to bend, without the world caving in..."

"I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not, and WHO I AM."

Living with chronic illness (or any struggle for that matter) requires a willpower and tenacity of "I Won't Give Up".  That is my motto day in and day out.  Sometimes it is a battle of willpower...and, that is when I simply hand it over to God and ask him to see me through, because honestly it is not always easy.  However, I chose to glorify Him and continue with a positive attitude...and "I WON'T GIVE UP."

"This sickness is not to end in death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God my be glorified in it."  John 11: 4  (Jesus speaking of Lazarus...but how fitting.  This was posted by one of my friends and shed a whole new light on the passage I hadn't thought of before.)

So, I'm not going to give up...I encourage you to keep on keeping on as well.  We may not be in the same situations/conditions; however, everyone has something they struggle with.  My prayer is that you find comfort in Him.  Know you have a sympathetic heart and friend with me.  And, have an attitude each day of "Lord, I trust you, and I Won't Give Up."

Many blessings friends,
